Who We Are & What We Do

Volunteering at BARK

The Richmond Jaycees is a 501(c)4 civic organization of young professionals, aged 21-40, that develops leaders through event and project planning with a focus on community development.

Jaycees develop leadership skills through meetings, workshops and training events, but the primary source of our members’ leadership development comes through hands-on experience in planning and managing chapter projects and events.

Throughout the years, the Jaycees have been responsible for planning concert series, supporting charitable organizations globally, conducting major community projects (4th of July celebrations, Richmond Christmas Parade), and founding charities.

The Jaycees offer unique resources and tools to members, creating both successful projects and business leaders. To achieve these goals, our organization focuses on four key areas of opportunity: Community Development, Networking and Personal Development, Professional Development and Culture and International Experiences.
